The ads vary in nature from banners to popups.

STEP BY STEP DIRECTIONS

1) Ads including popup ads are used to pay for a website. The degree at which they are presented varies. Even sites like yahoo and msn have started using popups and such since standard ads are ignored.

2) Ads are brought to you by the site you are visiting not by the product listed on it.

3) You can compare a webpage ad to a commercial on TV. They provide you with free stuff in hopes to sell or influence you. Of course targeting (bringing ads that are interesting to the audience) is attempted but not always accurate. For example an ad for a PC based product might be viewed by a Mac user.

4) Remember you chose to visit the site. If you do not like the ad and "will never buy anything" simply leave.
